One-day managers’ update/refresher.

Aims:

To provide staff with the ability to maintain a safe system of work within their working environment.
To enhance, develop and improve the knowledge, skills, competence and confidence to manage assessments and reduce risk within their working environment.
To reinforce the need to develop and maintain good manual handling practice within Bradford community.

Objectives:

Provide staff with sufficient skills and knowledge to maintain a robust risk assessment process.
Improve awareness of current legislation.
Enhance existing abilities to address manual handling issues arising in their working environment.
Improve awareness of biomechanics and causes of back pain.
Consider the impact of ergonomic interventions in relation to risk assessments and problem solving.
Provide staff with sufficient skills and knowledge to perform good manual handling practice with the ability to share that information.

Aimed at: Bradford MDC Social Care - Managers and supervisors who risk assess.
