Moving and Handling for Managers 1 day Update
One-day managers’ update/refresher.
Aims:
- To provide staff with the ability to maintain a safe system of work within their working environment.
- To enhance, develop and improve the knowledge, skills, competence and confidence to manage assessments and reduce risk within their working environment.
- To reinforce the need to develop and maintain good manual handling practice within Bradford community.
Objectives:
- Provide staff with sufficient skills and knowledge to maintain a robust risk assessment process.
- Improve awareness of current legislation.
- Enhance existing abilities to address manual handling issues arising in their working environment.
- Improve awareness of biomechanics and causes of back pain.
- Consider the impact of ergonomic interventions in relation to risk assessments and problem solving.
- Provide staff with sufficient skills and knowledge to perform good manual handling practice with the ability to share that information.
Aimed at: Bradford MDC Social Care - Managers and supervisors who risk assess.
