Introduction to Early Support

Early Support is the Government mechanism for achieving high quality, more co-ordinated services for disabled children under five and their families.

The role of Early Support is to:

  • Facilitate more effective partnership working so as to improve services for young disabled children and their families;
  • Address training need and to support the development of a multi-agency workforce;
  • Raise expectations about the way agencies services work together to meet the needs of children and their families

The course provides an excellent introduction to Early Support.

Aimed At:

SENCO's in a non-maintained sector, parents/carers, practitioners from schools, early years settings and children's centres working with children and families from birth to five; colleagues in health education and social care working with children in this age range.
