Eating Disorders and Young People
This course will provide an overview of a range of issues relating to eating disorders that affect young people.
Learning Objectives
- Have increased awareness and understanding of the prevalence of eating disorders in young people and to outline the assessment and management of eating disorders particularly anorexia and bulimia nervosa in Child Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
- Be able to describe the different types of eating disorder and how they might present and be able to give basic advice to young people and families
- To discuss the role of Tier 1 professionals and when to refer to CAMHS
Aimed At: This is a Bradford District wide Multi Agency Course for anyone working in Health, Services to Children and Young People, Education, Police, CAFCAS, Probation Services, Adult Services, Voluntary & Independent Sector.
