Drug and Alcohol - Basic Awareness
Available to: Staff employed by Bradford Council (Social Care), Bradford District Care Trust, Voluntary Agency and Independent Sector Staff within Bradford who come into contact with substance users but are not specialists in drug & alcohol issues.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify a range of different substances and understand their effects.
- Identify and understand the nature of drug problems: physical, psychological and social.
- Understand the legal implications of substance use.
- Recognise attitudes within society including common myths.
- Understand the Harm Reduction approach and its application to substance use.
