Trust-Wide Induction Video (Services to Children & Young People)
Welcome to Bradford’s Children and Young People’s Workforce.
The induction video is for all those working with children and young people, across all agencies. It applies to workers who are newly recruited, to those who have been promoted or to those whose existing role is changing. It applies to people working in full-time, part-time, sessional or volunteer roles. It applies to all those who come into contact with children and young people as part of their job.
The video introduces you to ways of working which reflect the national Every Child Matters (ECM) objectives and Bradford’s “Big Idea” of “Local joined up services built around the needs of local children and young people with a focus on early intervention and prevention”.
You will see a range of partner agencies all working together to achieve the provision of integrated services to enable children and young people to fulfil their full potential. It highlights the importance of workplace induction, on-going learning, and continuous professional development in equipping you with the skills and knowledge needed for your work. You will hear about the roles and responsibilities of other agencies, the value of integrated working approaches, and the importance of your role in providing quality services to children, young people and families across the district.
