CAF - Undertaking a Common Assessment

Course Overview:
The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) is a standardised way of assessing the needs of vulnerable children and young people and deciding how those needs should be met.
This multi-agency training is aimed at practitioners working with children and young people, who may be required to undertake a Common Assessment.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the local arrangements for integrated working and the CAF process
  • Understand how the CAF contributes to supporting the needs of children and young people
  • Have explored the skills required to undertake the role of Lead Practitioner
  • Have explored the CAF form and begun to consider how to undertake an effective Common Assessment

You must complete the Integrated Working e-learning Module before you can apply for a place on this course.

The Introduction to Integrated Working provides the underpinning knowledge required for completion of this training, therefore if you attend this training and have not completed the e-learning module, you will be asked to leave.

Aimed At: This training is free to practitioners working with children and young people in the Bradford District.

Time: Half day sessions
