Sexual Health Training for Practitioners Working With Young People

If you do not have any previous knowledge in this area, we recommend you undertake the E-learning module 'Overview of Sexual Health Work' before you attend this course.

Target Audience
This course is for anyone working with young people aged 11 - 19

Course Overview
The course will equip those working with young people with practical skills and knowledge in delivering Sexual Health / advice sessions.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the course you will have:

  • Explored issues around stereotyping
  • Gained an understanding of different Contraception used by young people and how they work
  • Identified the most common STIs and their symptoms
  • Explored a range of practical ways of working with young people to help them make a positive decisions for themselves
  • Created an action plan based on own learning.
