If part of your job involves giving information, advice and support to families who have children with additional needs then this is the course for you.

Aimed At: All practitioners working with children with additional needs and their families

  • Families with children with additional needs require information to understand and access the services and support available
  • They need this information at many different stages of their child's development
  • This course will help all practitioners working with families with children with additional needs
  • It will help you to gain an understanding of how good information can make a difference
  • It will help you to gain an understanding of what life can be like for a parents / carers of children with additional needs
  • It will help you to identify the process involved in giving an receiving good information and the tools and resources available to help you
  • It will help you identify the key components of good communication and the barriers to overcome.
