CAF and Integrated Working (Overview for Managers) - e-Learning

This multi-agency training is aimed at all managers working in services for children and young people.

This course highlights the fact that all practitioners and managers working with children and young people have a responsibility to respond to concerns that a child might not be achieving one or more of the 5 ECM outcomes: staying safe; being healthy; enjoying and achieving; making a positive contribution; achieving economic well-being.

The course will help managers to understand the role they play in embedding the CAF as part of the core business of their team, and it will illustrate the importance of managers understanding the CAF process, so that they can fully support members of their team if they become involved in Common Assessments.

Course overview:

This course introduces the components of integrated working:

  • The Common Assessment Framework (CAF)
  • The role of the Lead Practitioner/Professional
  • Information Sharing

By the end of the course you will have an understanding of each component and how they combine to help deliver effective services for children and young people, that help to minimise the risk of children or young people ‘slipping through the net’. You will also have started to consider how you will embed this work into your service area or team.

This training is free to managers working in services for children and young people in the Bradford district.
