- To be able to identify what are the key issues and events we need to record
- To be aware of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and how these affect what we write
- Understand the importance of confidentiality
- Understand the principals of good record keeping and report writing
- Understand the organisation’s policies and procedures
