Embracing Diversity

To increase participants understanding of how to Embrace Diversity. Valuing individuals, their differences and the translation into workplace behaviours.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the session participants will be able:

  • To understand and promote equality and diversity in your area of service provision.
  • To understand the consequences of breaches of Equal Opportunities.
  • To be aware of the legal and practice framework for equalities.
  • To develop strategies for promoting anti-discriminatory/anti-oppressive practice in the care setting.
  • To understand and have awareness of own values use that understanding within your workplace behaviours.
  • To understand the principles of personal centred approaches and use these principles into workplace attitudes and behaviours.

Aimed at: Bradford Council staff working for Adult & Community Services in Residential and Homecare.
