Working with Carers

This course is for Adult & Community Services staff within Adults Access, Assessment and Support Team, Physical Disabilities and the Sensory Needs Team i.e. Social Workers, Community Care Officers assessing carers needs.

Aim:

  • Identify outcome focused assessments for carers
  • To have greater awareness about the stages of caring
  • To understand the legal framework for carers
  • To have greater awareness and understanding of local resources, in order to sign post carers to appropriate agencies
  • To promote access to Education, training, employment and leisure services
