IT - European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)

*Please note that ECDL through Workforce Development is only available to Adult & Community Services and Services to Children & Young People (Bradford Council) Social Care employed staff.

ECDL is a world-wide qualification, which enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills. Pass 3 of the modules below plus the mandatory to receive your QCF Level 2 ECDL award. Your choices must amount to 16 – 20 credits (including 4 for mandatory).

The modules and credits ( ) are:

  • Security for IT Users (1 at L1, 2 at L2)
  • Using Email & Internet (5)
  • Access (4)
  • Word (4)
  • Excel (4)
  • E-type (1 at L1, 2 at L2)
  • PowerPoint (4)
  • Mandatory - Improving Productivity Using IT - (4)

Workforce Development is an accredited ECDL test centre and automated testing software has been installed on the machines in the IT training room.

Currently we offer regular workshops, where staff who have already attended the one day IT training courses can come and access practice tests and progress to taking the live tests. Our training material and practice tests are available online so you can access via the internet in the workplace or at home. You will only need to attend the centre to take the live tests.
