Children’s Centres
Sure Start Children’s Centres offer integrated education, care, family and health to support families with a child under 5 years of age.
There are 41 Centres in the district, 6 are Children's Centre Plus which offer extra support to families with children who have additional needs.
Your local Children’s Centre may offer the following activities:
- Baby massage or yoga
- Cook and eat sessions
- Toddler groups, stay and play sessions
- Outings and trips
- Home visits
- Parenting classes
- Dad and baby groups
- Early education for 2 year olds

Making a Referral
If you are a Parent, Carer or a Professional working with a family you can simply fill out a referral form and send it to your nearest Children's Centre. Your local centre will then be able to contact you with useful information and support.
