Who are the children waiting?

The Children Waiting

There are always more children in Bradford that need adopting than there are adopters waiting for a child.

This is a list of some of the children currently wanting an adoptive home. They are all children with a plan for adoption but the names have been changed and any photographs are not of the children.

Families that are interested in any of the following children, or children like them, will be prioritised.

Kaspar (aged 14 months)

Kaspar is a lovely, placid boy. He likes to know what is going on and loves exploring. He has a great sense of fun. Kaspar’s birth mother is Eastern European Roma.

Abdul (aged 3)

Abdul is an affectionate and sociable child with lots of energy. He loves being outside and running around the park. Abdul has been moved around foster carers several times and can be quite demanding of attention. Abdul is small for his age and he is dual heritage (White British and Asian).

Emily (aged 5)

Emily is sunny and very affectionate. She has experienced disruption and neglect in her early life and moved around with her birth mum lots of times. Emily has a diagnosis of Foetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder (FASD), which has long term implications for her learning, behaviour and development, but she goes to mainstream primary school. She has strong links with her birth family and needs an adoptive family that will accept this.

Raya and Alessandra (aged 4 and nearly 3)

Raya and Alessandra are bright and sociable little girls who love attention and playing. They are half sisters with different birth dads and look quite different to each other. They are both dual heritage – mum is White British (with distant black descent), birth dads are from South Asia and Dominican Republic. They have a strong and healthy bond and need a family that can nurture and encourage them as they grow up.

Gwen has shoulder length blonde hair, a lovely warm smile and blue eyes. She loves art, dancing and playing with her dolls. Gwen is sociable and affectionate.
