Information for Service Users & Carers
Bradford Supporting People aim to ensure that people in receipt of support are able to exercise influence over the services they receive. We will ensure that the services are led by the needs and expectations of existing and potential service users, within available resources.
Service User Involvement
Bradford District Supporting People programme values the knowledge and understandings that service users can contribute to designing, delivering and evaluating services. Service user involvement is integral to overall delivery of high quality housing related support services. A major aim of the programme is to maximise opportunities for service users to get involved, be active and make a positive contribution.

Service User Involvement Group
This is a group of Service User Representatives who meet every two months to influence the Supporting People Programme. Contact Neal Heard on 01274 481590 or email him at neal@bacc.uk.com, or for more information visit our Service User Involvement Group web page.
Peer Reviewers
Peer reviewing is one way for service users to contribute towards improving services. This involves current or former service users gathering evidence about a Supporting People funded service which is not their own, including talking to service users about their experience of receiving that service. Peer reviewers then make recommendations on how the service can be improved.
Service users receive training and support to enable them to become peer reviewers.
