Bradford Local Account of Adult Social Care 2010/2011
Welcome to Bradford’s Local Account of Adult Social Care for 2010/11 which describes our performance in how we delivered services over the last year, and sets out the priorities for the coming year.
What is the Local Account?
Local Accounts are a key part of how councils provide accountability in the way in which adult social care is delivered locally. The account is intended to support transparency through communicating what the local priorities are, what progress has been made against them and what results and outcomes have been achieved.
Alongside Local Accounts, the Government has established an over arching framework to support councils in demonstrating the performance of adult social care both locally and in comparison to other areas. These measures are called the Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework (ASCOF)
All local authorities are now required to produce a “Local Account” of adult social care on at least an annual basis. This self assessment replaces previous assessments carried out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and builds on from the annual reports we have produced previously.

Feedback:
The Local Account should provide evidence and assurance to you around the performance of Adult Social Care Services within the District.
We want you to take active role in shaping the future versions of the Local Account, which will be delivered on an annual basis. We would like to hear your views on the report, including what you found useful, and what improvements can be made for next year.
