What is Home Care?
We are registered with Care Quality Care Commission (CQC) as a provider of Home Care.
Some people living in their own homes can not care for themselves easily because they are ill or disabled. Home Care will provide help with tasks of daily living such as help with dressing, feeding and personal care.
The intake service (reablement) provides short term care to service users for a time limited period. It aims to give them the confidence to manage as many tasks of daily living on their own whenever possible. Intake normally lasts for up to six weeks and is tailored to individual needs. We discuss and agree an individual goal plan with service users and work along side them to reach these goals.
Other schemes and activities
The development of Extra Care Housing is identified as an important element of specialist accommodation. There are a number of extra care schemes in the Bradford District in which a dedicated care team deliver Home Care. The recent developments have sought to provide a better balance between community support and long term care.
When is Home Care Available
The Home Care Service works between 7.00am and 10.00pm. We will do our best to meet the times you would like us to provide Home Care, but this is not always possible due to the high demands on the service.
Where are they
The Home Care Services are based in geographical clusters throughout Bradford. A number of Home Care Seniors who are responsible for a geographical area are based in each of the cluster bases.
