Bradford District Care Trust

Bradford District Care Trust provides a range of inpatient and community services for people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities in the Bradford district.
We are committed to working with other local organisations to safeguard people; to both prevent abuse and to respond effectively on the occasions when abuse has occurred. We have been part of Bradford’s multi agency partnership since its inception, making an active contribution to the work of the Adult Protection Unit, to the delivery of training and the development of practice.
Nick Morris, Director of Strategy and Nursing has executive responsibility for safeguarding within The Trust on behalf of the Trust Board.
Lesley Latham, as Lead Practitioner, is our lead for policy & strategy regarding adult safeguarding. She also monitors safeguarding alerts and offers advice and training to staff. Lesley works closely with Dawn Lee, Named Nurse Safeguarding Children.
We have a number of team leaders who act as Adult Protection Risk Assessment Coordinators (APRACs), ensuring that concerns about abuse in the community are handled appropriately. Lesley Latham is able to supply their contact details.
We also have a number of specially trained staff who help to deliver the multi agency basic awareness training across the district.
