Protection Plan Co-ordinator

  • The protection plan co-ordinator can be from any of the agencies involved in the protection plan. They will normally be from the agency that has the main role in the protection plan
  • Their role is to co-ordinate the agreed actions and to stay in touch with the person who has been at risk to monitor how the plan is working
  • The protection plan co-ordinator or their manager will chair the protection plan review
  • The protection plan co-ordinator should contact the APRAC if the risk is not stopped by the protection plan or actions agreed are not implemented
  • In this situation the protection plan co-ordinator should ensure that an immediate protection plan is put into place
  • In this situation a decision will be made as to whether the APRAC or the protection plan co-ordinator chairs an immediate review meeting
