Corporate Plan
Each year the council publishes its Corporate Plan, setting out its key actions and targets for the next three years. The plan for April 2009 – March 2012 was adopted in July 2009.
The Corporate Plan shows how the Council will contribute to The Big Plan (the sustainable community strategy for the Bradford District) and to achieving the transformational priorities of:
- Improving educational outcomes
- Raising skills at all levels
- Regenerating the city and major towns
It will set out the major projects and improvements which the Council needs to focus on and deliver over the next three years, in order to support the Big Plan themes of:
- Prosperity and regeneration
- Children and young people
- Safer communities
- Health and wellbeing
- Improving the environment
- Strong and cohesive communities
There are two underpinning themes for all the above:
- Sustainability
- Cohesion and Inclusion
The Corporate Plan also sets out the improvement actions which will be put in place to ensure Bradford Council is:
- An efficient and effective council
The draft “strategic delivery priorities” upon which the council’s new three year plan will be based, were agreed by the Executive in October 2008.
