Santa’s Shipley Extravaganza

Christmas will come early to Shipley when Rudolph the Reindeer pulls Santa Claus' sleigh into town for an amazing day of family entertainment.

Santa will parade through the town centre on Saturday, 3 December accompanied by pupils from High Crags Primary School in fancy dress, stilt walking Christmas trees, Jack Frost, the Snow Queen, Frosty the Snowman, and the Harmony Hounds Jazz Band.

Three spectacular parades, organised by Bradford Council, will be held at 11-11.30am, 2-2.30pm, and 3-30pm.

The fun-filled day will also include the chance for children to visit Santa in his grotto, Marshall's Fairground Attractions, and Blackpool's award winning donkey rides between 11am-5pm.

Visitors are encouraged to attend in fancy dress costume, with the theme for this year being Rudolph or Christmas Fairies.

Coun David Green, Bradford Council's Executive Member for Regeneration, said: "Santa's Extravaganza will be great fun for the entire family and will help get everyone into the festive spirit.

"We hope that people from across the district will come along to enjoy the activities on offer, and maybe even get involved by coming in seasonal costume!”

All activities will be held in Shipley Market Square and Well Croft.
