Recession busting annual gym memberships on offer
Make your New Year resolution a reality with a fabulous gym membership and a chance to shed those pounds put on over the Christmas period at a Bradford Council clubactive gym.
The annual memberships are on offer for just £299 with three months free with a not to be missed offer throughout January at The Leisure Centre in Keighley, Richard Dunn Sports Centre at Odsal and Thornton Recreation Centre.
The Council's Sport and Leisure Service is continuing with its hugely successful b active campaign and is also offering gym membership at a discounted rate to those who set up a direct debit account to pay for their membership. People can either pay £24.95 per month for 15 months or £29.95 per month for 12 months and then pay nothing for the next three months. Either way people are in effect getting three months for free.
As well as having access to the four state-of-the-art gyms, members will be able to attend Council-owned leisure centres around the district including the pools and the fitness classes. The upgrades at the gyms have seen pulse rowers, cycles and steppers, cross trainers and weight training equipment installed. Trixter bikes, which can be found at Richard Dunn and Thornton are indoor fitness bikes that simulate the experience of being outdoors. The bikes' resistance accurately depict differing terrain gradients, track surfaces and conditions.
The Council’s clubactive gyms have invested in the very best fitness teams which will be there to offer support and motivation for members as well as a personal training service.
Coun Andrew Thornton, Executive member with responsibility for Environment and sport, said: "We're delighted to be able to offer residents savings on their gym membership which will allow them to use the pools and the gyms as well as attend classes run by our staff. We want to make getting fit and healthy even more attractive, whether your fitness goal is losing weight, lowering your cholesterol or getting fitter.
"Recent investment and refurbishments have enabled us to provide more first-class fitness opportunities across the district but customers will need to move fast to take advantage of this offer."
People can also use the 'pay as you go' option if they so wish.
