BKYP Young Person’s Question Time
An opportunity for young people to directly get answers to issues affecting them from key decision makers in Bradford.
BKYP will be hosting a Young Person’s Question Time event at The Midland Hotel on Wednesday 15th February at 1:30pm. Young people from across Bradford and District have been invited to this event. This is designed to be an event that gives young people the chance to directly speak to key decision makers who have direct influence over issues that affect young people’s lives. The panel consists of:
- Jeff Bennett – Area Coordinator in Keighley
- Cllr Ralph Berry – Portfolio holder for Children’s Services
- Cllr Ian Greenwood – Leader of Bradford Metropolitan Council
- Kath Tunstall – Director for Children’s Services
- Dr Shirley Brierley – From health – Young People’s Services
- Inspector Johnathan Pickles – West Yorkshire Police
Young people from across Bradford and District have submitted questions about issues that affect their daily lives for the panel to answer. There will also be the chance for young people to submit questions on the day as well as speak informally to the panellists and other Key Decision Makers who will be attending the event.
Many young people across Bradford feel that decisions get made that affect their lives without anyone listening to their point of view. Young Person’s Question Time is the chance for young people to put their points of view across to the people in key positions of influence.
