Baildon Big Tidy Up
Volunteers are wanted to help in a big tidy up of Baildon Moor and Village.
Bradford Council's neighbourhood service is teaming up with local residents, Friends of Baildon Moor and Baildon Parish Council to clean up the place on Saturday, 18 February.
Anyone interested in helping out with the litter pick and clean up should meet by the cattle grid at the top of Moorgate on the edge of Baildon Moor.
Coun Imran Hussain, Bradford Council's Deputy Leader, said: "People value our moorland landscapes and village environments very highly and it's good to see the local community coming together to keep Baildon clean and tidy.
"But we should be clear that people wouldn't have to devote their time to this if others didn't drop litter in the first place.
"The Council and citizens across the district spend a lot of time and money cleaning up after others.
"We need to keep hammering the message home that litter is anti-social and unacceptable and that everyone, whoever they are and wherever they live, has a responsibility to clean up after themselves, and not leave it to the goodwill of others."
Anyone keen to help can contact Paula Truman on 01274 437146 or just turn up on the day.
