Review of Polling Districts and Polling Stations 2011

The Representation of the People Act 1983 and Section 16 of the Electoral Administration Act 2006 requires the Council to review its polling districts and polling stations every four years. The practice within Bradford Council is to review polling stations on an annual basis. This review must be completed by early November 2011 to enable any changes to polling districts to be made prior to publication of the new register of electors on 1 December 2011.

The council would like to hear about your experience of using and accessing polling stations during May 2011 elections. We would like to hear about:

  • Whether you found your polling station easy to access
  • Any particular problems you may have encountered when accessing your polling station
  • Any barriers that prevented you from using your polling station

Consultation period has now ended. Following consideration of the submissions a report will be submitted to the Council on 11 October 2011 and published on the website.
