The Council’s Freedom of Information Disclosure Log summarises the requests received for information and the responses provided. The information posted in this section gives the nature of the request and the response provided but does not provide details of those making the requests.
Since 1st January 2005 the Freedom of Information Act 2000 has provided any enquirer with a statutory right of access to the information held by Bradford Metropolitan District Council, subject to a number of exemptions which may be applied to protect information which needs to be kept confidential. Many requests for information can be answered by information already available on the website or provided as leaflets, reports and other documents in hard copy from the Council offices.

Please note that the some responses consist of large numbers of documents that are not held in an electronic format and that there will be a charge to release this information.
Some Freedom of Information requests also encompass Data Protection issues, it should be noted that where applicable information will be withheld for compliance with this Act.
