Julie Ferridge – Long Term Unemployed
Julie was overjoyed when she gained employment after a break of 20 years.
For 20 years Julie had been a stay-at-home mum and had enjoyed raising her family. With her children grown up Julie decided to return to work but felt she lacked confidence and the necessary skills to achieve her goal. Skills for Work provided support and practical assistance with writing a CV, and application forms, job search and interview techniques.
Julie began a placement with a large retail store, management were so impressed with her attitude and commitment they offered her a permanent position.
