Children and Young People's Plan
Welcome to the second review of the District’s Children and Young People’s Plan 2006-2009 which describes how children and young people’s services work on behalf of the growing young population of the District. The plan complements the high level principles and objectives set out in the Department of Children Schools and Families (DCSF) National Children’s Plan which places schools at the heart of communities.
As a Children’s Trust we are committed to our vision for children’s services in the District by which every child and young person is supported to have the best start in life and is given active help and encouragement towards achieving the five outcomes identified in the Every Child Matters (ECM) Agenda:
- Be healthy
- Stay safe
- Enjoy and achieve
- Make a positive contribution
- Achieve economic well-being
