Partnership Development Service

The Partnership Development Service works to attract investment to the District, manage the development process and link local unemployed people to the opportunities created.

The service is divided into four principal areas, Invest in Bradford, Urban Centres, External Resources and Regeneration Development.

The Partnership Development Service (PDS) was established in April 2001 to bring together the staff responsible for supporting job-creating investment, the procurement of external funds and the provision of training. The remit for the Service is to protect and create jobs by:

  • Attracting, supporting and co-ordinating new investment in the Bradford District
  • Supporting key indigenous businesses
  • Ensuring businesses have access to information about European regulations and opportunities
  • Provision of a managed workspace network
  • Provision of business services support
  • Procurement of funds from external sources to support the above activities
  • Supporting the Regional Economic Strategy

The Partnership Development Service's principal function is to create jobs through the attraction of investment and to ensure that local people and businesses are in a position to benefit from that investment.
