The Bradford Community Safety Partnership is a multi agency partnership working to make our district safer.
Our purpose is to tackle crime, disorder, anti-social behaviour and drug and alcohol misuse problems.
The Community Safety Board is Bradford’s Community Safety Partnership governing body and this is chaired by the Deputy Leader of the Council (also Safer Communities Portfolio holder) and the Deputy Chair is the Police Commander of Bradford South Division. There is good representation on the Board from other agencies including Probation Trust, Fire & Rescue Service, Third Sector, Public Health and the CPS.
Our Partnership Structure
Bradford Community Safety Partnership Board meets quarterly and is chaired by Councillor Imran Hussain (Safer Communities Portfolio Holder). The Vice Chair is Chief Superintendent Simon Atkin (Area Commander - Bradford South).
Three Strategic Groups support the Partnership Board to co-ordinate Community Safety Strategy and Activity.

Three thematic strategic groups sit underneath the Community Safety Partnership Board representing the key priorities for the Partnership. These are: Reducing Crime and Re-offending, Neighbourhoods & Resources and Drugs and Alcohol.
The Bradford Community Safety Partnership produces a 3 year “rolling” community safety plan which is reviewed annually through a strategic assessment.
Each year the Partnership prepares a Strategic Assessment to assist in revising the plan and the community safety priorities for the district.
The strategic assessment includes information on:
- Analysis of levels of crime
- Changes in crime since last strategic assessment
- Views from the community on matters that need to be prioritised
