Fairtrade Statement

Tom Bulman, Students’ Union Treasurer and Co-ordinator of the University of Bradford’s Fairtrade bid, said:
“We are aiming for University-wide Fairtrade status later this year. Our Fairtrade policy is currently being drafted up and will go before the University’s Senate in April.
“All the University’s and the Students' Union’s catering outlets serve Fairtrade produce and we have also ensured that Fairtrade products are available for hospitality meetings. We’re hoping that from the end of February we will also be able to provide Fairtrade products through our vending.
“We have been working alongside the Bradford Fairtrade zone group and we’re fully committed to the principles and practice of Fairtrade.”
