Economic Strategy
Bradford’s economic strategy was published in February 2011. This economic strategy is focused on transition – from recession to recovery, from public to private sector employment and towards a more resilient and sustainable economy.
The council and its partners aim to promote economic growth by increasing the number of successful businesses and raising levels of activity and trade, increasing the number of quality long term jobs for our growing workforce and raising the economic wellbeing of residents.
The strategy focuses on two specific priorities: building entrepreneurship and innovation, and working from the centre outwards. It aims to support the transition of the district economy from recession to recovery and act as a tool to focus, mobilise and secure resources.
