Economic Strategy
The global economic downturn and the government’s response to managing national debt means that Bradford District will need to adapt and identify new ways to support business growth and improve prosperity.
The economic strategy has been drawn up by Bradford Regeneration and Prosperity Partnership and Bradford Council, with substantial input from the private sector and other local partners. It sets out the agreed priorities that will create the best possible conditions for sustainable local economic growth as we adapt to the changing political and economic conditions, and helps point the economy in the right direction for the long term.
The strategy focuses on two specific priorities: building entrepreneurship and innovation, and working from the centre outwards. It aims to support the transition of the district economy from recession to recovery and act as a tool to focus, mobilise and secure resources.
