Playing Together
Be a winning team – playing with your child is important for their future – it’s a stroll in the park!

Playing with your child can easily become a part of your daily routine and can be a fun learning experience for everyone.
Here are a few tips on how it can be done:
- Make play a part of the daily routine, such as playing guessing games on the way to school or counting up and down the stairs.
- Take some time out to turn off the TV, computer or Wii and have a game of catch or footie in the garden or park, or go for a walk or a bike ride. If it’s raining why not play a board game together instead?
- Children of all ages love word games – take it in turns to name TV characters, types of food, cars etc while working through the alphabet.
- Make up your own games together.
- Dress up, play shops, make your own den, or create a treasure hunt around the house or in the garden.
