Urban Circus Skills
Thornton Primary School & Children's Centre ran a workshop for Dads, Grandads, and male carers in line with Father's Day.
The sessions ran over 2 days, they invited them to come in and do circus tricks with the children, ages ranged from nursery right through to Year 6. They did tricks like Globe balancing, tightwire walking, diablo, juggling etc the idea being that to assist each other doing tasks encourages engagement and trust. In total 59 dads came and 83 children attended with them over the two days!!
