British Science Festival 2011 comes to Bradford

British Science Festival

The British Science Festival will be held in Bradford on the 10 – 15 September.

During the Festival they will be re-visiting the industrial heritage of the area, exploring regions of natural beauty and scientific importance, as well as celebrating Bradford’s position at the cutting edge of scientific research in medicine and health, sustainable environments, and solar activity.

Programme highlights so far:

  • Join the "world's greatest living explorer" Ranulph Fiennes as he talks about the highs and lows of global exploration
  • One of TV's most recognisable scientists Professor Robert Winston discusses why some of mankind's greatest innovations might have been 'Bad ideas'
  • Bangs and crashes with the team from the BBC's Bang goes the Theory
