There are many ways in which you may be able to reduce your council tax. For example:

• If you are living on a low income you may be entitled to 'Council Tax Benefit'.
• If you live in the property on your own you will get a 'Single Person's Discount'.
• If other people in the household have a low income you may claim 'Second Adult Rebate' (link takes you to the Benefits "Apply" section which tells you how to apply).
• People not counted when calculating your bill (for example students, carers etc).
• Property Exemptions can apply to some dwellings.
• You may get a ‘Disability Reduction’ if your property has been adapted for a disabled person in your household.
