Change of Circumstances


If your circumstances change and you believe this may affect the amount of Council Tax you have to pay please let us know immediately so that we can make sure you are paying the right amount of Council Tax.

Change of Address - Property being vacatedChange of Address- If you are liable for Council Tax and are changing address.
Change of Name Notification of a death- Where a Council Tax payer has died.
Change of NameChange of Name- If the names on the Council Tax bill are wrong (e.g. incorrectly spelt, etc) or the name of the liable person has changed.
Single Person DiscountSingle Person Discount - A discount of 25% will be given where there is only one resident at a property.
Cancellation of Single Person DiscountCancellation of Single Person Discount - To cancel a Single Person Discount.
Extra Care Scheme RegistrationExtra Care Scheme Registration - The Council Tax section offers services for older customers or customers with a disability or serious illness.

Student Discount Form Council Tax- Students are ignored when counting the number of people who live in a property. This means you may qualify for a discount from your Council Tax.
Person Providing care for another person Council Tax- Person Providing care for another person Carers are ignored when counting the number of people who live in a property. This means you may qualify for a discount from your Council Tax.
Apprentices & Training Credits Programme Trainees Council Tax- Apprentices & Youth Training Trainees Apprentices and Youth Training Trainees are ignored when counting the number of people who live in a property. This means you may qualify for a discount from your Council Tax.
Council Tax Disability Reduction Form Council Tax- Disability Reduction Form If you, or members of your household, are disabled you may wish to apply for a reduction in the Council Tax band applicable to your property.
Council Tax Disability Reduction Form Council Tax- Detention Form People in Detention (e.g.: in Prison) are ignored when counting the number of people who live in a property. This means you may qualify for a discount from your Council Tax if one or more members of your household are being held in detention.
Council Tax Disability Reduction Form Council Tax- Severe Mental Impairment Form People who are Severely Mentally Impaired are ignored when counting the number of people who live in a property. This means you may qualify for a discount from your Council Tax if one or more members of your household are Severely Mentally Impaired.
