Local Housing Allowance Rates
To work out the Local Housing Allowance (LHA) figure for your property, please use this link.
This takes you to the Directgov website. Then you need to follow two simple steps:
- Click on the "LHA bedroom calculator" button. This will tell you how many bedrooms your Local Housing Allowance rate will be based on. This depends on the number, and circumstances, of people in your household.
- Then, click on the "Find LHA rates" button, enter in how many bedrooms you are entitled to, then type in your postcode.
REMEMBER - once you have worked out your LHA rate, you can then find out if you would qualify for Housing Benefit by using our online calculator.
