Bradford District Climate Change Pledge
The Environment Partnership has developed a Climate Change Pledge to raise awareness about climate change, to encourage businesses to take action and share good practice across the district.
We want every organisation in the district to do what they can to tackle climate change and to sign up to this pledge. Whether you are a small voluntary organisation, a manufacturing business, or an international company with offices in Bradford, we want to know what you are doing to support Bradford District on this important issue.
Completing the pledge is easy. All you need to do is fill in the pledge form, tell us some basic information about your business and give brief details of what you plan to do on climate change. For example, you could raise awareness with staff, replace inefficient lighting or develop a company travel plan.
Once you have made your pledge, we will promote your good practice on this website. Your information will also guide the Partnership to identify where further support is needed to help businesses to tackle climate change.
Free Energy Efficiency Support Project for SMEs
For those small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) that sign up to the pledge, the Environment Partnership is offering a free energy audit and action plan which will be completed by environmental consultants. The audit will help you to understand more about your energy use and show you how to reduce this which will in turn save you money. The environmental consultants will visit your businesses and discuss key issues on energy use with you.
To qualify for the service, organisations need to meet the following criteria:
- Based within the Bradford District
- Spend less than £50k per annum on energy
- Sign up to the Bradford climate change pledge
