Local Area Agreement
Local Area Agreement (LAA)

LAAs are "deals" between local partners and central government. The objective is to improve key outcomes by joining up service delivery across partner agencies
Bradford's LAA is part of the delivery mechanism for "The Big Plan" our Sustainable Community Strategy. The Key themes to be addressed include:
- Children and Young People
- Safer and Stronger Communities
- Health and Wellbeing
- Economic Development & the Environment
The LAA prioritises activities under these themes and gives responsibility to individuals and organisations to be accountable for meeting key targets and milestones, which are constantly monitored and re-evaluated by BDP.
It contains 35 indicators that where identified as priorities for action, and which have specified targets to be achieved over the next 3 years. This package of indicators and targets was negotiated and agreed by the partners with central government.
