My priorities for the past year (May 2011 - May 2012) were:
To continue to serve the people of Heaton & Frizinghall with the same great drive and passion that I have done so within my first year.
To help find a permanent solution for all those residents whose lives are being affected by the ongoing odour and noise from the AWM Waste Management site on Canal Road.
To make "The Heaton & Frizinghall Energy Group" a success.
To start up "Cllr Imdad's & Cllr Rizwan's Keep it Clean Project" in Heaton & Frizinghall whereby we are planning to get our own van and once a month on a Sunday to go round pre selected and informed streets to collect our constituents unwanted rubbish items and extra rubbish bags and take the to the local waste centre. This is all to promote cleaner and healthier living and to keep our ward clean and a better place for all to live in.
To get "Yellow Grit Bins" installed in the key streets and roads in our ward before the next Winter.
To get the other play area on Haworth Road, Heaton Village and also in Frizinghall to be refurbished for our children.
To work with my colleague Cllr Rizwan Malik in trying to get funding to help start the "The Haworth Road Masterplan".
