The Bradford Classic--Centenary Square--22 July 2006

Bradford Classic 2007

Yes – we are beginning to think about next year’s new and improved show already – taking into account everything that’s been reported back to us on the feedback forms and elsewhere.

We are hoping to feature more rally cars so if you have an interesting current or historic rally car we’d be very pleased to hear from you.

We are always delighted to welcome all variations of the Bradford manufactured Jowett cars. If you have a Jowett, no matter what condition or model you will be made very welcome at the Bradford Classic. As you will have seen, Ian Priestley’s lovely 1935 Weasel Sports Tourer was the Car of the Show in 2006.

We have also drawn up lists of all our favourite cars and compared that with the range of cars that actually attended in 2006. So whilst we welcome all makes and types of cars to the Bradford Classic, these are some of the gaps in the entry list which we would like to fill:

  • AC Cobra
  • American cars – all makes and models
  • Audi Quattro
  • Austin Healey – all types
  • BMW 635CSI and 2002
  • Citroen 2CV
  • Datsun 240Z and 260Z
  • Ferrari
  • Fiat 500
  • Ford Anglia and Cortina
  • Hot Rods
  • Jaguar Mk 2
  • Jaguar XK Series
  • Lamborghini
  • Lancia Delta Integrale
  • Lancia Stratos
  • Lotus – Europa/Elite/Cortina
  • Maserati
  • Micro/bubble cars (eg: Heinkel)
  • Mitsubishi Evo
  • Modified road cars
  • Opel Manta
  • Porsche – historic 911s
  • Renault Alpine
  • Saab 95 and early 900
  • Subaru Impreza WRX
  • Sunbeam Tiger
  • Talbot Sunbeam Lotus
  • Triumph TR range, GT6 and Stag
  • TVR
  • VW Kharman Ghia

Oh, and while he was chatting to the Westfield drivers, Tiff said “… so where are the Caterhams …?” We couldn’t possibly print their reply!

Please use the link on the right to bring up our new entry form that you can complete and submit on–line. Alternatively you can print one off to complete by hand and return by post. Please try and send us a picture of you car and remember entry to the Bradford Classic is free.

The ‘idea’ behind the Bradford Classic is ‘pride and joy’ so we are not looking for high value, rare or expensively restored classics – although we are, of course, really pleased to see them!

And finally we hope the 2007 Bradford Classic will be even bigger and better in all sorts of ways. As soon as we get a better idea of what bigger and better is and confirmed the arrangements, we’ll add a ‘latest news’ section on the website to keep you up to date.
