Responsibilities of the Committee
The Committee is responsible for the strategies, plans, policies, functions and services directly relevant to improving social care and safeguarding vulnerable people, including:
- Promoting independence for older and disabled people
- Protecting children and preventing the need for them to be looked after
- Accommodation and housing needs of vulnerable people
- Building capacity in partnership
