Bradford Waste Management DPD

The Bradford Waste Management DPD will sets out the Council’s spatial strategy for dealing with waste within the District. It will Identify waste management sites for dealing with the different streams of waste.

These documents form the first stage of the sustainability appraisal of the Bradford Waste Development Plan Document and have recently been produced.

The Bradford Waste DPD will set the detail policy framework and identify sites for waste management across the district.

The Draft Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Reports collects together the baseline data and information on other plans, policies and programmes that can have an influence on the production of the Bradford Waste DPD. Based on this context, draft sustainability appraisal objectives and indicators are identified and issues and problems are set out to form a draft framework, which will then be used to measure the performance of these plans.

The Sustainability Appraisal (SA) also incorporates the requirements of the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). The council invited comments on all aspects of the Bradford Waste DPD SA Draft Scoping Report, particularly on the provision of any additional information in relation to the baseline data and sustainability issues, objectives and indicators as identified in the report. The consultation period of 5 week consultation period closed on Monday 13th August 2007.

It should be noted that the consultation period on the Bradford Waste DPD SA Draft Scoping Report has closed.
